About us
BlueZone's mission is to make prevention a focus of home care.
Home care businesses talk about enabling independence and helping people stay at home longer. But that can't work without providing preventative care at a scale that changes how older Australians experience ageing.
Our mission is to change that.
"I lost my mum to heart disease when she was 46. I wish she'd had BlueZone."

General Manager and co-founder, BlueZone
I also watched my grandmother enter and slowly decline in residential aged care, with minimal movement and activity to help her be more comfortable and confident in her later years.
In my mind, there had to be a way to help older people experience ageing differently. With strength, With more confidence. Truly enabling independence and quality of life.
That’s when I realised home care – with its dedicated, trusted workforce of carers – could be the answer.
Delivering strength and balance programs at scale can’t be done with allied health professionals alone. But with the help of BlueZone-trained care staff delivering simple but effective programs to thousands of older Australians, we can shift home care from treating decline to empowering people to move and improve.
BlueZone's model is simple
1.
We help you identify clients with unspent home care funds who would benefit from a program.
2.
Our experts assess them, build a program, then train your home care staff to deliver it.
3.
We review clients monthly, quarterly and annually. We modify programs if necessary.
4.
We collect their data, and then measure how much your clients have improved.
BlueZone's goals are transformative
1.
To change the health economics of home care and aged care within a generation.
2.
To ensure prevention is part of most home care plans within the next five years.
3.
For BlueZone to be a community-style movement in the next five years.
4.
To empower every older Australian possible to move and improve.
Inspired by 'blue zones', built for Australia
BlueZone is inspired by the remarkable places in the world known as “blue zones” – communities where people live longer, healthier and more active lives well into their 80s, 90s and beyond.
These regions share many things in common, and for all of them movement is part of everyday life.
At BlueZone, we’ve taken that philosophy and applied it to aged care in Australia. Our programs help older Australians stay strong, steady and confident through preventative exercise and connection.
Because a long life isn’t just about the years you live – it’s about living those years with energy, purpose and independence.
